The greatest skill of the century?
Writing.
It's a skill you need even as a:
- Moderator
- Community Manager
- Graphic designer
- Dev
- Just about anything you do
Everybody needs to know how to communicate their value effectively.
How would you announce you're the best at what you do to a group of people who don't know you and then get them to believe you're the best?
The answer is High Impact Writing.
This isn’t like your schoolwork writing or research paper.
This kind of writing helps you:
- Build a strong brand online
- Communicate your value to someone you want to network with
- Send attention-grabbing proposals that get you gigs.
And no, AI (Artificial Intelligence) isn’t taking over authentic writing.
The fear of being replaced by a robot without a soul that relies on sources on the internet is absurd to me.
AI is only a tool that helps you write more prolific content.
You need to know how to use it well.
In this letter, I’ll share practical strategies to help you write impactful content.
Before you jump in:
The Mastering Content Writing course preorder starts on 1st September (today).
The goal is to help you, in less than 28 days, go from beginner level to PRO, writing attention-grabbing content. Preorder comes with:
- Private mentoring
- A content strategy guide
- A social media brand kit
- A money-back guarantee and more.
The "generational wealth" skill
The first $100 I made writing came from a thread (less than 150 words).
Previously, I was a copywriter who earned less than NGN 30,000 monthly writing long-form content (500 words above) every day.
I didn’t think my writing skills were good enough to deserve more pay.
Getting paid $100 for way less work flipped a switch.
It made me realize I have a superpower — one that can capture, hold, and convert attention in a sea of valueless content.
And that’s all you need to get CRAZY ASS RICH in this time and age, no matter the industry or niche.
Why writing? (Why not though :)
As long as people continue to:
- Use social media for news updates and sentimental analysis
- Lean on creators online for knowledge they couldn’t get in school
There will always be a need for high-impact writing that captures and retains attention.
If you want to:
- Get clients
- Help those clients get volume and users (2 things most Web3 projects want)
Then you must learn and harness the superpower, Writing.
The foundation of everything you see on the Internet is Content.
The front end of the Internet is content, the back end is Code.
And the foundation of content is writing.
Threads? Writing
Tweets? Writing
Newsletters? Writing
Whitepapers? Writing
Product descriptions? Writing
YouTube videos? Best done with written scripts
Other forms of online marketing, advertising, or entertainment? Starts with writing
Everything your prospective clients, audience, and network see starts with writing.
Whatever content you put out builds a perception about you, good or bad.
There’s so much power in understanding the game of writing, Don’t underestimate it.
If you want to dominate your niche and be the go-to guy or girl, no matter your niche, you need the “writing superpower”.
3 Steps To Becoming 10X Better at Writing High-Impact Content
Becoming a better writer would guarantee:
- More sealed gigs.
- Building a massive audience and influence over time.
- Increasing the quality of your network.
These 3 steps I've outlined in this letter will help you if you follow through.
Step 1: Choose Your Topic(s)
Don’t overthink it.
Pick one or two topics you’re very interested in and practice writing.
It can be DeFi protocols, productivity in web3, health and fitness for web3 devs, a particular blockchain, or any interest you currently have.
Now brainstorm from a unique angle.
How can you come up with fresh and novel ideas based on your unique angle?
Use this list to brainstorm:
- Common problems associated with the topic of interest.
- Benefits of overcoming those problems.
- Common goals associated with these topics.
-Obstacles to achieving those goals
-A personal experience you've had.
With all this from the brainstorming exercise, you start to talk about the topic from a different but unique point.
It doesn’t have to be just one topic.
You can pick 2-3 different topics you’re interested in.
I talk about:
- Spirituality
- Health & Fitness
- Making money and building a business in Web3
Step 2: Write 100-1000 words on the topic per week.
“Practice makes perfect” – someone
I’m not sure who said that quote, but it’s true.
The more you do, the better you become.
The more you write and share your work publicly (online) the better to get feedback you will get.
If you’re in an industry like Web3, do this:
- Focus on a platform like X
- Write 2-3 posts a day
- Write 1-2 threads once a week
Follow this simple formula for just 1 month, and you’ll see the crazy effects.
Step 3: Getting Your Content Shared (Important!)
As much as you’re practicing and refining your writing skills, you want to get eyes on them.
Putting your energy into writing would mean nothing if nobody sees it.
You need to drive traffic to your profile.
How? Networking.
The secret to going viral is knowing enough people willing to share your work.
I outlined everything you need to know about connecting with anyone in Web3, check here.
All of this takes practice, lots and lots of it.
But IF you want to:
- Earn high, even from other skills
- Land better gigs
- Build your brand
You need the skill of writing.
Thank you for reading my *love* letter. I hope it helps.
