Week4!
Learning. Earning. Chaos.
If this is your first time reading my letter dump, well, it’s more of a personal journal.
I document my challenges, struggles, and even wins learning a skill.
thought to mention again, incase you feel ranted on, hahaha.
so …
This letter is kinda split in two:
— My current stage (with Solidity, ofc)
— How I’m farming with some spare stablecoins I had lying around — even $100 can go a long way.
Touching Codes (even if I sorta crawled)
I didn’t operate at my highest this week.
Main reason? Terrible signal.
This is a problem a lot of Nigerians face daily because of low-quality reception by the providers in the country (from MTN, Airtel, and even GLO).
The mega “5G” network I had was just a big sham and a lie. I could barely stay online to load a tutorial, but I’m not letting anything stop this journey.
So I closed my eyes (literally) and bought a Starlink Mini.
I just installed it, and the speed is insane — super glad I made that move.
Even with all the tech wahala, I still managed to touch code.
My goal was to finish Solidity 101 and start Foundry, but truthfully… I crawled.
Here’s what I did manage to explore:
— Deploying a contract from another contract using new
— Using import ./ to organize contracts
— Inheriting from another contract using is
— Played around with a FundMe contract: that lets users fund, sets a minimum ETH
and owner can withdraw.
Wasn’t much. But it was something.
That’s the compound law in motion — small moves still move.
Compound Effect.
Aside from the codes, a lesson I picked during the week was Compound growth.
— Skill compounding.
— Funds compounding.
— Consistency compounding.
Little by little, it adds up.
Even when I feel slow or unproductive, something is always building underneath.
That lesson hit hard this week — because this week was rough.
So, if you’re on your journey, with codes or not, it’s all about compounding growth.
Farming Yield With Spare Stables
Now to the money side — how I earned this week.
I had some spare USDT (the new USDT0 version), and instead of letting it sit idle, I decided to farm with it.
APYs? Between 50% to 300%+
Minimum to start? Honestly, even $100 works.
Why? Because everything compounds, even small funds.
Mainly farming yields on the HyperEVM ecosystem.
Reasons?
— Positioning for potential airdrops (you already know)
— Learning how lending/borrowing works under the hood
— And ofc, earning while learning
I dropped a thread showing exactly how I did it. If you’ve got $50–$100 lying around in stables, you can get started too

Finally …
This week wasn’t cute; I didn’t hit my goals. Felt stuck at times.
But I didn’t give up.
I kept learning.
Kept earning.
Fixed my infrastructure.
Touched codes — even if it was light.
I’m learning to stop stressing when the pace is slow.
Although I finally finished Solidity 101 again and already in Foundry mode, my goal is to understand the codes enough to begin my auditor journey, in real-time, within the next few weeks.
If you’ve been feeling behind, too, remember: It’s not about moving fast.
It’s about not stopping.
Till next week,
— Phoenixx
